Cantina stood out among over 3,000 entrants in this year’s 17th Annual W3 Awards.
Cantina won one Gold and one Silver W3 Award. Less than 10% of all entries are selected as Gold Winners; Silver Winners represent other outstanding entries.
Cantina proudly took home Gold in the Health & Wellness for Mobile category for Dugri: Peer Support Network. Hebrew slang for “straight talk,” Dugri is a safe and anonymous peer support network that helps people increase wellness and resilience while decreasing stress and burnout. Initially developed and deployed by the Israeli Navy SEAL special forces unit, the Dugri Protocol de-stigmatizes emotional, real talk in high-performance cultures, and is used today by soldiers, medical teams, first responders, and ordinary civilians all over the world. The unique Protocol is the result of 20 years of resiliency training among hundreds of thousands of professionals.
Cantina helped successfully translate the protocol to a digital experience. Our work included not only technical & experience strategy, but also the design and build of their mobile app experience, including new features to encourage positive habit formation.

The W3 Awards honor creative excellence on the Web and recognize award-winning mobile apps, websites, marketing programs, social content, and online video. In honoring the best of the Web, the W3 Awards are the first major web competition accessible to all companies and agencies, large or small. Small firms are just as likely to win as Fortune 500 companies and international agencies. The aim is to honor the best of the Web regardless of company or agency size.
The 2022 W3 Awards continue Cantina’s winning streak. In 2018, Cantina took home Best Mobile App in the Health & Wellness category for its innovative work on the EYE-SYNC platform for SyncThink, plus a second Silver award for Best Mobile Features in the Experimental and Innovation category, also for SyncThink. In 2017, Cantina won four W3 awards. That year, its winning entries included the Empower Apple Watch App (Silver, Best Mobile App - Finance), Link AKC connected device (Silver, Best Mobile App - Health & Wellness; Silver, Best User Experience), and the Zipcar Mobile Experience (Silver, Best Visual Design).
The W3 Awards are sanctioned and judged by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts (AIVA), an invitation-only body consisting of top-tier professionals from a “Who’s Who” of acclaimed media, advertising, digital and marketing firms. Each season, AIVA considers submissions by Advertising agencies, PR Firms, Digital Agencies, In-house creative professionals, Web Designers, and Graphic Designers.
