Strategic design and development agency Cantina stood out among 5,000 entrants in this year’s 12th annual W3 Awards.

Cantina won multiple Silver W3 Awards, including two for best-in-class mobile design and development on Link AKC, a smart connected dog collar launched by the American Kennel Club. Cantina also received Silver Awards for transforming Zipcar’s mobile experience and for its work on the Empower Retirement Apple Watch app.

Small firms are just as likely to win as Fortune 500 companies and international agencies. The aim is to honor the best of the Web regardless of company or agency size.

The W3 Award for Link AKC continues its award-winning streak. This connected device was also a Winner of the 2017 Consumer Electronics Show Innovation Award earlier this year!

The Empower Retirement Apple Watch app is a first-of-its-kind retirement app for the Apple Watch. The app allows users to view real-time progress toward their retirement income goals and features simple notifications that users can respond to from the Apple Watch.

Cantina also received a W3 Award for helping Zipcar enhance their mobile app experience with a full redesign. The redesign allows Zipcar to cater to its enormous user base while positioning it to attract new users and stay competitive in a rapidly evolving car-sharing and transportation innovation landscape.

The W3 Awards are sanctioned and judged by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts (AIVA), an invitation-only body consisting of top-tier professionals from a “Who’s Who” of acclaimed media, advertising, digital and marketing firms.
