Service Design for Financial Services comes at a particularly important time as the industry faces new challenges and disruption. Cantina, which has a long history working in the field, recently bolstered its financial services practice by acquiring Results Imperative, an agency that designs and develops interactive financial planning and retirement readiness tools.

“We are delighted to partner with Service Design Week to help organizations adopt service design to enable the necessary change and innovation desperately needed in the financial services industry.”” - Shaun Gummere from Cantina

Service Design Week is a 4-day conference bringing together leaders from various disciplines across the spectrum of service design to exchange views and strategies. Service Design for Financial Services will take a deep dive into approaches specific to this industry. Cantina has partnered with the organizers to create an engaging agenda of activities that focus on overcoming silos, legacy technology, and the consumer perception problem plaguing many financial services organizations.

“Companies participating in this conference are on the cutting edge of customer-focused transformation and are ready to learn best practices from their industry counterparts.” - Krista Siniscarco from Cantina

While adoption of human-centered design continues to increase, studies show persistent challenges remain in realizing its full benefits. Key challenges include constrained innovation, the design of effective face-to-face interactions, holistic digital experience design, and organizational design that delivers differentiated and sustainable consumer experiences. The goal of Service Design Week is to address these areas of interest through industry perspectives, case studies, and roundtables.

“We see tremendous opportunities for companies to bring service design into every stage of the customer journey,” Siniscarco added.
