Hi, I'm Corey, a Lead Designer at Cantina. I help create products and services that foster positive outcomes for users. Prior to Cantina, I worked extensively in healthcare and as a freelancer, working on multiple service design projects aimed at transforming the cost and efficiency of healthcare while helping to build design teams and design systems.
In my tenure at Cantina, I’ve been lucky to work with brilliant minds on exciting applications for emerging technologies. I’ve educated design teams on inclusive design and built accessibility communities-of-practice. Some projects have given me the opportunity to design large, enterprise products that millions use every day, and some were innovative strategy and research projects looking at complex augmented-reality experiences bridging the physical and digital world.
I’ve written about the role of service design in healthcare, and gave a talk with Randy Duke II on frameworks for inclusive products. Whether it’s attending SXSW2019, conducting user research with game developers at PlayNYC, or taking sketch notes at UXStrat, I’m grateful for every opportunity to rep Cantina and influence the face of our industry.

Areas of Expertise & Interest
Some areas of focus for me at Cantina are experience strategy, product innovation, IoT and connected products, and inclusive design, especially in healthcare.
Other Fun Facts:
My work has been featured on a billboard in Times Square. When I’m not designing, I enjoy studying languages (French and Chinese), ultrarunning (my favorite distance is the 50k), and anything that gets me outside.
