This might be huge.
Anyone who has used KDE over the years knows what Qt (“cute”) is (or was). If you’ve ever tried Opera, you’ve had a taste. It used to be a widget library and then became an application framework (it’s like Glib + Gtk + Pango is to Gnome). As a developer, Qt Quick has really piqued my interest. The ability to rapidly create rich, modern, native user interfaces using a web-like development paradigm for any platform is actually something totally new. Seeing it in action makes me even more eager to start playing with the Sailfish OS, which is based on Linux and Qt, and I can think of at least one open source game project that will be test-driving Qt Quick in the near future.
